We invite all parents to attend this free parenting workshop.
The workshop is open to the community, so bring your friends, grandparents and invite parents from other schools in the area to come along too.
Managing teenage children’s behaviour can be challenging at times for most parents.
Parents are invited to attend free parenting seminars being offered this term to learn practical, positive and effective ways to manage common behavioural problems, and ways to help your child achieve their best at school and in the future.
Parents may choose to attend one, two, or all three of the following 1.5 hours seminars

7 March 2017 Seminar One: Raising Responsible Teenagers

• Taking part in family decision making
• Being involved in family activities
• Being respectful and considerate
• Developing a healthy lifestyle
• Being reliable
• Being assertive
21 March 2017 Seminar Two: Raising Competent Teenagers
Key ingredients for raising competent teenagers
• Developing self-discipline
• Being a good problem-solver
• Establishing routines
• Getting involved in school activities
• Following school rules
• Having supportive friends.
2 May 2017 Seminar Three: Getting Teenagers Connected
Key ingredients for helping teenagers get connected
• Being confident
• Being socially skilled
• Planning ahead
• Keeping commitments
• Keeping in touch
• Taking care of others
Time: 6:30- 8:00pm
Venue: Room 1.3, Halls Head College, 1 Casuarina Drive, Halls Head.
Cost: Free – however bookings are essential.
Extras: Light refreshments will be provided for Seminar’s One and Two, and a BBQ will be held for Seminar Three.
