
We offer a variety of learning activities to meet the individual needs of our students.
Vocational Education and Training (VET) Business Services – Cert. 1

Vocational Education and Training program for our Year 10. Students investigate career options, develop public speaking and interview skills, organise and produce portfolios, visit community agencies to develop their support network and participate in Workplace Learning at a number of workplaces.
They also undertake units of competency towards a Certificate 1 TAFE Course in Business Services.

Year 10 students are involved in the CVP where they take part in community activities such as growing trees for our “Men of Trees” partnership, community clean up days and linking up with our school’s award winning Falcon Coast Care to regenerate local sand dunes.
Lifeskills – Cooking & Budgeting

Students learn practical life skills.
Students budget for, prepare and cook simple healthy foods.
Our
school camps provide opportunities to practise these skills.
Kitchen Gardens and Plant Production

The school has a shade house, vegetable and herb gardens, composting, a worm farm and an outside shed/workshop. Students are able to develop practical skills and knowledge from their involvement in gardening and other home workshop and basic construction activities.
Bike Education

We have a Bike Education and bike maintenance program which gives the students hands on experience with bike maintenance. Students also practise bike-handling skills with a focus on road safety.
