At Halls Head Community College Education Support Centre our priorities for 2009 are:
- Health and Wellbeing of students and staff. The aim is for both staff and students to maintain good physical and mental health.
- To consolidate alternative programs in the Life Skill Centre. We aim to establish for our students an effective life skills and work experience program that will ensure a successful transition to their further education, training or work life.
- Whole School Literacy – reading and speaking and listening.
- To ensure that staff and students utilise Information Technology as an integral aspect of teaching and learning activities.
- Personalised Learning Plans are developed collaboratively with relevant stakeholders and within these plans, there remains a very strong focus on functional literacy, numeracy and social skills.

Halls Head Community College EDUCATION SUPPORT CENTRE was established in 2001. We have a population of 40-50 students. The Education Support Centre (HHCC ESC) enrols students needing intensive support to achieve their educational and or behavioural goals.
We currently cater for students from years eight to ten. However, recent changes to schooling in the Mandurah region will see us offering a limited year 11 and 12 program in collaboration with the Career Enterprise Centre in 2010 and beyond.
HHCC ESC is located on the grounds of the Halls Head Community College and has shared use of their wonderful facilities. We also have our own
Life Skill Centre which includes inclusive kitchen and laundry facilities. The Life Skills centre also has a shade house, vegetable and herb gardens, composting, a worm farm and an outside shed/workshop.

We are committed to providing learning opportunities which will enable our students to work towards the overarching outcomes and values as stated in the WA Curriculum Framework.
The range of core subjects offered includes: English, Maths, Science, Studies of Society and Environment and Health and Physical Education.
A Personalised Learning Plan is negotiated and developed for each student to cater for individual needs.
Our qualified specialist staff provide extra support for literacy, numeracy difficulties and we work closely with various therapists and community services to meet our student needs.
Considerable emphasis is also placed on Social Skills development.
