Halls Head Community College is a community of learners. We foster a cooperative and supportive learning environment that is inclusive and responsive to the needs of all students. We aim to develop independent learners who have a strong sense of self-worth and compassion for others. Our vision will be realised through an enduring partnership involving all members of the school community.

Welcome to the Halls Head Community College website
The College was opened in 2001 as part of the Peel Education District’s response to a rapidly growing community within the region. The school is one of three middle schools in the city that feed students into the Mandurah Senior Campus and was one of the first purpose-built middle schools in Western Australia.
The college has a stable student population of approximately 750 students who come from the Halls Head sector of Perth and as far south as Lake Clifton. Our staff consists of approximately sixty teachers and support staff.
Although only seven years old, the college is currently undergoing a renewal process where teachers are working in collaboration with students, parents and the broader community to redefine our values, the way we teach and learn and the direction in which we wish to take our school. This process began in 2007 and will continue well into 2009.
We are committed to encouraging students and their teachers to be lifelong learners and to fill an active and positive role within our community. To achieve this, we have:

- Adopted a student-centred approach to teaching and learning
- Introduced appropriate technology to support and extend learning
- Developed specialist courses to meet a wide range of student needs
- Established a strong team approach to both teaching and pastoral care.
At Halls Head Community College, we strongly believe that all students are capable of learning and improving and we seek to support them as they progress through the middle years stage of their learning journey.
